<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transcoder in which a hardware quantity is reduced in order for downsizing a device and reducing costs. <P>SOLUTION: The transcoder 100 resizes a motion picture, a collection of images to the motion picture at a first resolution desired by a reproducing device, and outputs the motion picture to the reproducing device which reproduces the motion picture by alternating a display-term for displaying the image and a non-display term for not displaying the image. The transcoder is provided with a pixel processing unit 20 for resizing the motion picture to the motion picture at the specified resolution, a processor 40 for specifying the first resolution for the pixel processing unit 20 and instructing to resize each image in the motion picture in order to display one image in one display term, and between an interval of resizing of each image, specifying a second resolution lower than the first resolution for the pixel processing unit 20 to resize each image in the motion picture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
