PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method of efficiently and individually injecting a material to be injected into extremely small-sized cells or cells with a variety of shapes and sizes while dispensing with cleaning of the cells after injection, and a device therefor. SOLUTION: In the device for injecting the material into the cell, the liquid crystal material 2 is arranged in a vacuum chamber in such a way that a permeating part 1a, constructed with felt or the like equipped on a tip part of a lower end of a cartridge 1 which is charged with the liquid crystal material 2, and a liquid crystal injection port 3a of a liquid crystal cell 3 are placed opposite to each other. The liquid crystal material 2 is injected into the liquid crystal cell from the permeating part 1a of the cartridge 1 by bringing the permeating part 1a of the cartridge 1 into contact with the liquid crystal injection port 3a of the liquid crystal cell 3 and returning the vacuum to an atmospheric pressure while the liquid crystal material 2 is being permeated.
