PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector preventing the looseness of a terminal fitting housed in a connector housing. SOLUTION: The connector is provided with a connector housing with long cavities formed in an anteroposterior direction, a terminal fitting connected to a wire and inserted into the cavity from the back, and a retainer fitted in a direction crossing an insertion direction of the terminal fitting into the connector housing and preventing fall off of the terminal fitting by locking to it. It is further provided with swinging regulation means regulating the swing of the terminal fitting in a direction crossing its insertion direction. Since at least either of the two front and back swing regulation means hold the terminal fitting 20 and the wire 28 at two front and back places with pressing parts 34A, 34B, 35A, 35B (swing regulation means) fitted to the retainer, the terminal fitting 20 is surely prevented from swinging in a direction crossing the insertion direction (an up-and-down direction) in the cavities 12A, 12B.
