PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform the electric connect between an extraction electrode drawn from an organic EL (electroluminescence) element and an object to be connected, or to secure proper display performance of each organic EL element, after having surely performed this connection. SOLUTION: A substrate layer 2, comprising at least one layer made of organic materials, is formed on a substrate 1 such as a transparent glass substrate; the organic EL element 3A is formed on the substrate layer 2; and in an organic EL display apparatus, where the object 4 to be connected is electrically connected to the drawer electrode 30 from the organic EL element 3A, a connection part 5, where the layer made of the organic materials of the substrate layer 2 is removed is formed on the substrate 1 so as to correspond to a thermocompression bonding part, when connecting the drawer electrode 30 with the object 4 to be connected.
