SOLUTION: The welded joint is obtained by welding steel sheets by electroslag welding of a large quantity of input heat, in which welding input heat is at least 100 kJ/cm, and has the composition that the welded metal of the welded joint contains 0.03-0.12 mass% C, 0.10-0.80 mass% Si, 0.80-2.50 mass% Mn, 0.50-3.00 mass% Ni, not more than 0.50 mass% Cr, not more than 0.50 mass% Mo, 0.01-0.10 mass% Ti, 0.0010-0.0050 mass% rare earth elements, B satisfying the following expression 0.003×ä0.42×Ln(Q)-1.9}≤[B]≤0.01, and the balance composed of Fe and inevitable inpurities.
