PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily usable vacuum cleaner by reducing an exhaust emission speed from a body and preventing the blowing of dust on a cleaning surface. SOLUTION: The exhaust emitted from en electric blower is emitted from the rear surface of the body 7 and the sides of the body 7 in the approximately rear direction of the body 7 to the atmosphere, the rear part of the body 7 is effectively used to secure a sufficiently large exhaust area and reduce the exhaust air speed. This vacuum cleaner is provided with a cleaner body incorporating the electric blower emitting a suction air and a suction device 3 communicating with the electric blower and sucking the dust and is formed by exhausting the exhaust emitted from the electric motor, from the rear surface of the body 7 and the sides of the body 7 in the approximately rear direction of the body to the atmosphere.
