PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new inkjet ink for printing on a chicken egg shell, and the like, that maintains a low viscosity suitable for inkjet printing without causing an increase in viscosity and imparts printed letters with satisfactory resistance to hot water. SOLUTION: This inkjet ink comprises a food dye as a coloring material and a cellulose ether at least whose hydroxy groups in its cellulose portion is substituted partly with a≥2C hydroxyalkoxy group or a≥2C hydroxyalkoxy group and methoxy group.
