PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of valves as compared with a conventional straight type pump and to realize a desired increase in a pressure of fluid in a straight type pump. SOLUTION: The straight type pump includes a plurality of diaphragms (pump chambers), and channels for coupling in series the respective pump chambers in such a manner that the fluid is sucked from the one diaphragm, is sequentially fed through the respective diaphragms via the channels, is increased in the pressure as compared with the pressure in the last diaphragm, and is supplied. In this pump, the respective channels are narrowed. Thus, the number of the valves is reduced, and the pressure of the fluid can be further increased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
