EXPANSION JOINT AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion joint construction method having extremely high safety without causing easily falling-off as long as vertical walls and ceiling walls themselves do not collapse. SOLUTION: When expandably joining the ceiling walls 2A and 2B and the vertical walls 3A and 3B of two buildings 1A and 1B, one end side of a sliding plate 9 is installed with a hinge 10 to one ceiling wall 2A on the reverse side of a clearance of the ceiling walls 2A and 2B; a ceiling expansion joint 4 is arranged by slidingly adjusting the other end side to the reverse side of the other ceiling wall 2B; and an inter-wall expansion joint 5 is arranged by installing a cross-sectional continuous triangular wave-like deformation plate 12 formed in a bellows shape in the clearance of the vertical walls 3A and 3B between the mutually opposed vertical walls 3A and 3B with its fold line 13 set vertically by alternately being bent at obverse and reverse faces so that an apex angle becomes an acute angle.
