PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus capable of forming an image at a high speed both on the single side and double sides with no anxiety in reliability and durability by a simple carrying passage, carriage control and control of image forming order. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises two image forming means for winding a recording sheet around a cylinder and forming an image by inkjet system while rotating the cylinder, and a control means for controlling carriage of the recording sheet and two image forming means. The control means controls carriage of the recording sheet and two image forming means and an image is formed based on image data processed by an image processing means. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
