PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a further effective technique for preventing run-out of a tool bit fastened to a power tool. SOLUTION: In this power tool 100, a tool bit 113 removably inserted in a tool bit mounting part 107 is driven to rotate, thereby performing designated work. The power tool is provided with a tool bit holding member 141 always brought into contact with the tool bit 113, with the energizing force applied in the radial direction of the tool bit 113 extending over a designated range in the direction of a major axis of the tool bit 113 inserted in the tool bit mounting part 107 and put in the fastened state.
