<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately inform an operator of contents of set information when data are inputted by the operator to enhance the ease of use in inputting data. <P>SOLUTION: A pictorial diagram display column for showing at least a part of contents of various kinds of information with a pictorial diagram is provided for a card for data input displayed by a printer driver in addition to a data input column for setting the various kinds of information. When a data input regarding the part of contents is changed, a picture of the pictorial diagram display column is changed. In an embodiment in the figure, a printable area is changed over from a standard one to the maximum, and an image part m6 showing the printable area is highlighted in red as shown in (b) for a predetermined period of time immediately after the changeover.
