PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide reference voltage correction device and method capable of more simply correcting reference voltage by software. SOLUTION: The reference voltage correction device for digital devices for inputting/outputting digital data is provided with a reference voltage setting selection part 10 for selecting reference voltage correction, a reference voltage control circuit (a variable resistor 18 and a fixed resistor 16) for controlling the reference voltage of the digital devices, and a means for changing the setting of a reference voltage control circuit so that a reference voltage correcting target, e.g. reference voltage to be outputted to the digital devices A, B, selected through a reference voltage setting selection part is changed. The device includes also a reference voltage control program storage part (reference voltage control part 12) storing a reference voltage control program for sensing the transmitting states of digital data from the digital devices, deciding the optimum setting of the reference voltage control circuit in which the error bits of the digital data are minimized and setting the reference voltage to be outputted to the reference voltage control circuit.
