<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a vehicle which has a long nose length properly receive ETC service. <P>SOLUTION: An ETC roadside machine 1 discriminates the shape of the vehicle 10 and sets the decision timing where it is decided whether a roadside radio device 2 normally completes an ETC communication with an ETC onboard device 13 according to the discrimination result of the shape of the vehicle 10. Even when the vehicle 10 to receive the ETC service has a long nose length, the roadside radio device 2 is able to discriminate whether the ETC communication with the ETC onboard device 13 is normally completed after the ETC onboard device 13 sufficiently enters a communication area (shown by P) formed by the roadside radio device 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
