PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise and pressure loss by constituting a fan guard to minimize interference with blowoff air flow. SOLUTION: This fan guard for a blower unit is composed of a large number of annular ribs 16, 16 concentrically arranged at prescribed spaces in a radial direction, and a large number of radial ribs 17, 17 radially extended from a blocking plate 14 and arranged at equal spaces in a circumferential direction. The fan guard is constituted to allow the blowoff air flow from a blower fan to flow along the radial ribs 17, 17 at the fan guard 4 in the whole radial region of the fan guard 4 by inclining the radial ribs 17, 17 with respect to a rotation axis in a reference face parallel with a rotating shaft of the blower fan, and changing the inclination angle of the radial ribs gradually in the radial direction to correspond to the inclination angle of the blowoff air flow from the blower fan.
