PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately execute the color conversion at high lightness regions without causing the tone jump. SOLUTION: For forming corresponding relation definition dataspecifying the corresponding relation of ink value data for specifying ink quantities of colors used for a printer to color component values of colors to be used for other image apparatus, first data of gradation values related approximately linearly to corresponding ink quantities are obtained to correct theγfactor of the first gradation value data so that the increase rate of the smaller gradation value is higher, thus generating ink value data which improve the relative resolution at high lightness regions. The printer prints, based on the ink value data, the colors of resulting prints are measured to generate corresponding relation definition data from the color measurement result which specify the corresponding relation of the ink value data to the color components values of colors to be used for the other image apparatus.
