PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving handrail driving device for a passenger conveyor, preventing a plurality of driving roller from non-uniformly wearing with different degrees of wear depending on their positions. SOLUTION: The moving handrail driving device for the passenger conveyor comprises coil springs 23a, 23b for thrusting a supporting frame 14 at both ends on which the driving rollers 11a-11c are rotatably mounted, and adjusting bolts 24a, 24b for energizing the coil springs 23a, 23b. By loosening the adjusting bolt 24a on the move-in side of a moving rail 8 to reduce the thrusting force of the coil spring 23a on the supporting frame 14, the driving force of the driving roller 11a is reduced and the driving force of the driving roller 11c on the move-out side is increased, resulting in the uniform driving force of the driving rollers 11a-11c.
