PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device for a sheet-fed printing press capable of preventing improper paper feeding more than a conventional device and to provide a paper pressing member used in this device. SOLUTION: In this paper feeding device for the sheet-fed printing press provided with a blower 1 for blowing air for an upper layer part of stacked sheets S from the rear and a suction device 2 for sucking a rear part of the sheet S at the uppermost position to feed predetermined number of sheets forward, the paper pressing members 20 put on the sheets S each on both left and right sides at a suction position of the suction device 2 to press the sheets S downward by their weight are provided. The paper pressing member 20 is constituted in such a way that it has a predetermined length in the direction of paper feeding and its weight on a rear side is relatively larger than its weight on a front side.
