PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arbor of a machine tool, which equalizes stress distribution in an arbor cross section, corresponding to nut fastening, and prevents deformation of the arbor caused by the nut fastening, to thereby achieve machining with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The arbor of the machine tool has a nut 28 screwed onto a shaft portion of an arbor main body 21a, and functions to fix hobs 22, 23 to the arbor by fastening the nut 28. According to the structure of the arbor, the arbor main body 21a has an aligning ring 29 interposed between the nut 28 and the hobs 22, 23, and the aligning ring 29 is provided with a correcting means for automatically equalizing the stress distribution in the cross section of the arbor main body 21a, corresponding to the fastening of the nut 28.
