The system has one or more plate-shaped screen elements (10) in the light path of light entering the room from the outside via a light passage opening (8). The element(s) geometrically define a screened room region that daylight cannot enter directly, are partly reflective and partly transparent and are aligned and arranged so light incident on a main side is partly reflected to the ceiling (2) and partly transmitted to the screened region.
