<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a non-soil vegetation base material with drought resistant fleshy plants. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the non-soil vegetation base material with drought resistant fleshy plants comprises shaking the adventive embryos of drought resistant fleshy plants in a liquid medium, moving the adventive embryos which are bred to the non-soil vegetation base material and growing plant bodies of the drought resistant fleshy plants. The drought resistant fleshy plants comprise plants of Liliaceae, Agaveceae, Aizoaceae, Portulacaceae, Sedum, Geraniaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Apocynaceae, Asclepiadaceae, Asteraceae and the like. The non-soil vegetation base material contains an open-cell type of porous body, a fiber compressive molded body and the like.
