<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embed copyright information or article management information in printed matter invisibly for human eyes. <P>SOLUTION: A photograph original G is read in an image reading means 1 and RGB image data S0 are obtained. In a pattern generating means 2, bit patterns P to be embedded in the image data S0 are generated and inputted to a pattern embedding converting means 3. In the pattern embedding converting means 3, the image data S0 are converted to (CMYK) image data S1 for printing, such that a portion where the patterns P are to be embedded in the image data S0 and the other portions become equal colors approximately conditionally. The image data S1 are printed on a paper sheet as a visible image in a printing means 4. In such printed matter, the embedded patterns can not be visible under an ordinary light source but the embedded patterns become visible under a special light source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
