<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily specify the location of trouble in the arrangement of electronic equipment in which a plurality of processors are connected in the form of a loop by a one-way bus. <P>SOLUTION: A command packet destined to a main processor itself is first fed to the one-way bus (S1). Depending on whether or not the command packet has returned to the main processor within a predetermined period of time, a determination is made to see which part of the electronic equipment is in trouble (S2). If it is determined to be in trouble, dedicated signal lines are used to send test signals to sub-processors (S3, S5, S7). The part of the electronic part in trouble is specified depending on whether or not a test packet transferred, according to the test signals, via the one-way bus from the sub-processors to which the test signals are sent, has been received within a predetermined period of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
