PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor, a housing of the motor, and a method for energizing brushes wherein energizing means for pressing brushes toward a commutator can be easily built in a brush housing and the manufacturing cost of the motor is reduced. SOLUTION: The motor M comprises a brush arrangement 20 having brush springs 26 for holding the brushes 23 in the brush housing 22a so that the brushes can be slid and energizing the brushes 23 toward the commutator 16, and the housing 40 in which the brush arrangement 20 is installed. Supports 43a which support the brush springs 26 on one end side are formed on the predetermined parts of the body 42 of the housing 40 which cover the brush housing 22a on the opposite side to the commutator 16. The brush springs 26 are disposed between the side face of the brushes 23 on the opposite side to the side on which the brushes slide on the commutator 16 and the supports 43a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
