PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust roller bearing with less bearing torque. SOLUTION: This thrust roller bearing 1 comprises a plurality of rollers 2a and 2b and annular retainers 3 and 4 having a plurality of pockets 5 and 6 for holding the rollers 2a and 2b. The retainers 3 and 4 hold the rollers 2a and 2b by roller holding parts 5a and 6a formed in the pockets 5 and 6 by vertically holding the rollers 2a and 2b. The surface roughness Ra of the contact parts 5c and 6c of the roller holding parts 5a and 6a with the rollers 2a and 2b is 16μm or less. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
