PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking device improving a lifting and lowering driving device having lifting and lowering vehicle supporting bases using a hanging rope, in the parking device equipped with a plurality of lifting and lowering vehicle supporting bases 2A to 3C parallel with each other lifting and lowering between an entering and leaving parking device level N and supporting levels U and D. SOLUTION: The parking device is so constituted that the hanging rope 11 consecutively suspending a plurality of lifting and lowering vehicle supporting bases 2A to 2C and 3A to 3C parallel with each other is used as a double hanging rope by hanging one hanging rope 11 around a rotational guide wheel 40 provided to a fixed frame side so as to lift and lower the lifting and lowering vehicle supporting bases 2A to 3C by letting out and retracting the hanging rope 11 with a letting out retraction means 12, both ends 11a and 11b of the double hanging rope are locked with the letting out retraction means 12 and that each of the lifting and lowering vehicle supporting bases 2A to 3C is suspended by the intermediate double hanging rope 11.
