PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking mechanism suitably applied to housing furniture having a plurality of double sliding doors. SOLUTION: This housing furniture has the plurality of double sliding doors for opening or closing a housing space S, and has a link member 2 installed on the rear surface of each double sliding door which turns or rotates, and slides on a plane substantially parallel to face plates of the double sliding doors together with the movement of the double sliding doors and a lock 4 installed in either of the double sliding doors and advancing/retreating a restraining member 41. The restraining member 41 advances/retreats on the plane substantially parallel to the face plates of the double sliding doors between a locking position L for restraining the motion of the link member 2 by abutting on a prescribed part of the link member 2 in a state of closing the housing space by the double sliding doors and an unlocking position F for allowing the motion of the link member 2 without interfering with the link member 2.
