PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device having a function for adding a prescribed special effect to video data in accordance with the sound data relating to the video data. SOLUTION: A special effect part 105 analyzes the sound data supplied from a sound processing part 104 and determines whether the analyzed sound data corresponds to a prescribed pattern. Furthermore, the special effect part 105 adds the prescribed special effect to the video data (relating to the sound data) supplied from a video processing part 103 when it is determined that the analyzed sound data corresponds to the sound data.
