Acquiring the condition parameters of a rolling process comprises setting up a system of equations from the mass balance R02 + R12 - C = 0, the mass flow balance v1h1 = v0h0, the movement equation R0 = (h0w0)/2pi of the decoiler, the movement equation R1 = (h1w1)/2pi of the coiler, the strip speed v1 = (1 +f)vu = R1.w1 on the outlet side, the forward slip f = (nu/approximatelyv0)-1, the strip speed v0 = R0w0, and the change of the strip speed per time unit v1 = R1w1 + R1w1 = (1 +f)vu + fvu, calculating the strip thickness, the radius R0 of the decoiler, the radius R1 of the coiler, the strip speed v0 on the inlet side, the strip speed v1 on the outlet side, the forward slip f and the constant C, and feeding to a system automation.
