摘要 PURPOSE: An LCD device using an organic insulating film and a fabrication method thereof are provided to form a planarized black matrix on TFT substrate by using an interlayer insulating film consisting of an organic insulating film which has a low dielectric constant, thereby removing reflections of a back light to reduce a photo induced leakage current. CONSTITUTION: Gate lines for transmitting scanning signals and a gate electrode(20) are formed on a transparent insulating substrate(10). A maintenance capacity electrode(30) is in parallel with the gate lines. A gate insulating film(40) covers the gate lines, the gate electrode(20), and the maintenance capacity electrode(30). Data lines vertically crossing the gate lines and transmitting image signals are formed on the gate insulating film(40). An amorphous silicon layer(50) is formed on the gate insulating film(40). An edge stop layer(60) and resistance contact layers(71,72) are sequentially formed on the amorphous silicon layer(50). A source electrode(80) and a drain electrode(90) are formed on the resistance contact layers(71,72). The source electrode(80) is connected to the data lines.
