<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell stack in which large current and high voltage are obtainable, and furthermore, which is small-sized and light-weighed. <P>SOLUTION: On a polymer membrane 40, a plurality of electrode pairs 48 composed of both an anode side electrode 42 and a cathode side electrode 44 are installed to form a conjunction body 34. This conjunction body 34 is wound around a cylindrical substrate 32 so that the anode side electrode 42 is contacted to the circumferential wall, and a unit fuel cell 28 is constituted. In this case, on a part of the cathode side electrode 44 constituting the electrode pairs 48, the anode side electrode 42 to constitute the electrode pairs 48 adjacent to the electrode pairs 48 is laminated, and both electrode pairs 48 are electrically connected in series to each other. When a plurality of unit fuel cells 28 are housed in a casing 24, respective unit fuel cells 28 are arranged at the top position of a regular hexagon, and furthermore the winding start point and the winding end point of the both electrode pairs 48, 48 in the adjacent unit fuel cells 28, 28 are made to differ by 180 ° and to be mutually contacted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
