<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide sintered compact having good electrical conduction and high thermal electromotive power, an n-type thermoelectric conversion material, and a thermoelectric conversion element using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The oxide sintered compact contains a hexagonal system layered compound expressed by formula: (ZnO)<SB>m</SB>(In<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>), wherein, m is an integer of 1-19, and Ce. Further, the sintered compact may contain indium oxide. Preferable ratio of Ce is >0 and <0.25 when the total amount of In and Zn is set to be 1. The n-type thermoelectric conversion material 2 is manufactured from this oxide sintered compact, and used in the thermoelectric conversion element 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
