<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out interruption processing based on an external input when any interruption processing request is made according to the external input during the diagnosis of an interruption processing function. <P>SOLUTION: A microcomputer is provided with an interruption input terminal 201 and a pseudo signal output terminal 201 and a driving output terminal 205. An interrupting signal for diagnosis outputted from the pseudo signal output terminal is inputted through an OR gate circuit 203 to the interruption input terminal with an external input. When either the interrupting signal for diagnosis or the external input is inputted, the interruption processing is carried out. In a time t6 when only the interrupting signal for diagnosis is outputted, the interruption processing is carried out for diagnosis. At that time, any operation to a driving output terminal is not operated. When the external input is inputted during diagnosis, it is recognized in a time t8 when the output of the interrupting signal for diagnosis ends, and the interruption processing based on this is carried out.
