<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the efficient and economical control of a denitrification catalyst inclusive of regeneration and replacement by controlling the denitrification catalyst synthetically and unitarily. <P>SOLUTION: In this control method for the denitrification catalyst, the secular change data at every unit of the denitrification catalyst 101 is controlled on the basis of the data obtained by control at the time of periodic repairing (step S110) and dairy control (step S120) to perform the control of a secular change and the estimation of the transition of a capacity up to the time of next periodic inspection (step S130). In this method, it is judged whether the deterioration of the denitrification catalyst 101 reaches a level incapable of keeping the capacity of an exhaust gas denitrification apparatus 100 (step S140) and, when the deterioration is recognized as the judge result (step S140: deterioration), the regeneration and replacement of the denitrification catalyst 101 are performed (step S150 and step S160).
