PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate maintenance operation by facilitating disassembly and assembly. SOLUTION: A discrimination unit 20 is a unit which is equipped with a connector 21 and also attachable to and detachable from a frame unit 10 for discriminating thrown-in paper money. A pusher unit of a storage unit 30 which stores paper paper is a unit which is equipped with a connector 41 fitted to the connector 21 when the discrimination unit 20 is mounted on the frame unit 10 while the pusher unit 40 is mounted on the frame unit 10, and is attachable to and detachable from the frame unit 10. Consequently, once the discrimination unit 20 is removed from the frame unit 10, the connector 21 and connector 41 are disengaged from each other and once the discrimination unit 20 is fitted, the connectors 21 and connector 41 are connected to each other, so a paper money discriminating device can easily be disassembled and assembled without any operation for wiring connection.
