<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus provided with a fixing device using an induction heating type heating means in which the fixing of a high quality is stably continued without causing an offsetting and fixing unevenness by appropriately and accurately suppressing the rise of the temperature in a paper non-feeding part. <P>SOLUTION: The induction coil of an induction heating means is constituted of a plurality of induction coil units having different resonance frequencies, and the induction coil units are driven by a high frequency power source of variable frequency to output the electric power of a plurality of frequencies including the resonance frequency, so that the amount of heat generation of a heating element which generates heat by the induction coil units is controlled . <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
