<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance bond strength between a liquid crystal display panel 1 and a frame body 3 and to make the liquid crystal display panel 1 or a liquid crystal display device thin in thickness and small in size by making it possible to bond both side edge parts of the long sides of a rectangular rear surface side glass substrate 2a of the liquid crystal display panel 1 and the frame body 3 together with a double-sided adhesive tape 4 without interposing a polarizing plate between the glass substrate 2a and the frame body 3 and without making the size of the glass substrate 2a larger than that of a front surface side glass substrate 2b. <P>SOLUTION: The edge part of a rear surface side polarizing plate 8 on the rear surface side glass substrate 2a is arranged nearer to the center side of the panel surface than an edge part of a polarizing plate 9 on the front surface side glass substrate 2b and on the outside of a display area 7.
