<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for applying a functional fluid that can greatly reduce an installation cost and a work manpower in an applying process of the functional fluid such as a sealant. <P>SOLUTION: The applying device 1 is equipped with an applying unit 2 comprising a discharge gun 4 to discharge the functional fluid and a feeder 5 to supply the discharge gun 4 with the functional fluid, and a charging unit 3 installed near an arm part 63 to charge a charging cylinder through a charge inlet. Therefore, there is no need to pump the functional fluid by piping to the distant discharge gun 4, enabling a substantial reduction in piping length, an inexpensive temperature controller 37 and liquid feed pump 32 to be used and reduction in the installation cost and the work manpower. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
