PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize reproducing characteristics of a magneto-optical storage medium which has, especially, magnetic layers of three layers constitution and in which reproduction processing is performed by expanding a magnetic domain and to improve quality of the device, concerning an optical information reproducing method. SOLUTION: In this optical information reproducing method, a magneto-optical recording medium provided with first, second, and third magnetic layers of three layers constitution is irradiated with a light beam having the maximum read-power by which medium temperature is made higher than Curie temperature of the second magnetic layer of the center from the first magnetic layer side, while modulating the read-power with the prescribed cycle, a magnetic domain where information to be reproduced exists is expanded by shifting a magnetic wall of the first magnetic layer being adjacent to a region of the second magnetic layer of which the temperature becomes Curie temperature or more to a high temperature side, at the prescribed time at which the medium temperature becomes lower than the maximum temperature after modulated read-power becomes the maximum, information of the first magnetic layer in a region of an expanded domain is read out.
