PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame with a shock absorber that keeps frame rigidity by suitable transfer of an impact load and has good appearance and a high buffering characteristic. SOLUTION: In the frame 1 with the shock absorber, the shock absorber 2 is disposed between relatively displacing frames 1A and 1B. The shock absorber 2 having a linear-directional buffering operation is disposed in a connecting part between a main frame 5 in a front frame where at least a proximity of the connecting part is constituted linearly and a seat stay 8 in a rear frame. The oscillating adjacent frame members 5 and 8 are linearly disposed to allow keeping of the frame rigidity for a long time by the smooth and suitable transfer of the impact load on the straight line. The linear buffering function is simple, the buffering characteristic is high, the shock absorber 2 is arranged together with the frame members 5 and 8 to be inconspicuous, and the appearance is also good.
