PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of generating nonoxidizing strong acid water by electrolysis which keeps oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) low. SOLUTION: The method for generating nonoxidizing strong acid water uses an electrolytic cell comprising a cathode chamber and an anode chamber, which are partitioned by a diaphragm, to generate a strong oxidizing strong acid water by electrolyzing raw water with a chloride, such as common salt added thereto, and the strong oxidizing strong acid water is passed through a ceramics-filled tank to obtain a nonoxidizing strong acid water. It is preferable that ceramics obtained by burning one of zeolite, kaolinite, quartz porphyry, and rhyolite, or mixing and burning two or more of them are used. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
