The screw driver (1) has an angled head (2) containing a power-transmission gear (4) and adjoining a flat power-take-off (3) which can be set at a variable angle to the angled head. A drive or guide shaft (7) is mounted at one end of the flat power-take-off; the angled head is mounted at the other end. The cog wheel (6) of the power transmission gear nearest the flat power take-off is centered by the drive or guide shaft, as is the drive cog wheel (10) in the flat power take-off. The cog wheel near the flat power take-off is positioned between the two bearings (8,9) of the drive or guide shaft.
