Method for pouring toner from a storage container (16) into a receiving device. Initially the storage container is held upright. As it is tilted, a locking device (72) fits over its upper opening. A removal opening in the locking device is used to remove toner from the storage container. An Independent claim is made for a device for pouring toner material out of a storage container into a receiving device.
