The compound acoustic insulation is for use with a metal plate carrier (1), and a prepared compound film (2) as an acoustic insulation layer. The film is composed of three laminated layers of a metal foil (3), and intermediate adhesive layer (4) and a plastics film (5), laminated to the metal. The plastics film is a triple co-extrusion with a thicker core (6) than the outer layers (7).
