摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure intake pipe negative pressure necessary for performing the purge of evaporative fuel, and satisfy the requirement for low fuel consumption, low cost, and improvement of mountability in the system performing the control of the intake air amount with a variable intake valve control. SOLUTION: The control device calculates a purge target intake pipe negative pressure according to the desired value of the evaporative fuel during engine operation, and reads in a base target intake pipe negative pressure necessary for preventing increase of the intake pulsation noise. The device always sets the base target intake pipe negative pressure as the target intake pipe negative pressure, and secures a pumping loss reduction effect (fuel consumption reduction effect) to prevent the increase of the intake pulsation noise. The device compares the purge target intake pipe negative pressure with the base target intake pipe negative pressure during purge execution, and secures evaporative fuel purge performance by selecting the one having larger negative pressure as the final target intake pipe negative pressure to realize the pumping loss reduction, the reduction of the intake pulsation noise, and securing of measuring accuracy of an air flow meter.
