NEWS DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM UTILIZING CAR NAVIGATION SYSTEM AND CAR NAVIGATION RECEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means whereby a driver acquires required news information at a low cost whenever required or at a desired time during driving. SOLUTION: The car navigation system comprises a transmission system for data-transmitting a correction signal of position information from a GPS and news information by way of a FM multiplex broadcasting and a reception system comprising: a means for realizing a car navigation function; a means for storing news information data; a means for converting the news information data into voice information; and a means for sounding the FM multiplex broadcast and the voice information. In the car navigation system, the news information data are intermediate language data and the data transmitted by way of the FM multiplex broadcast includes a signal for starting the means of storing the news information data of the reception system. Further, the car navigation receiver is provided with: a means for receiving FM multiplex broadcast data; a means for realizing the car navigation function; a means for storing the news information data; a means for converting the news information data into voice information; and a means for sounding the voice information.
