PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent huge manual operations required in a scene where a program is edited. SOLUTION: An engineering device is provided with functions for storing a portion of the diagram of a ladder diagram as components, and for displaying component ladder diagrams(templates) in which components are stored as a list, and for selecting one of the displayed templates, and for attaching the selected template as the components of the other ladder diagram. In this case, the attached diagram can be edited in the other ladder diagram as one component. This engineering device is provided with functions for carrying out the attached template segmentation/copy/attachment/erasure/address allocation edition/template attribute release/template registration or the like.
