PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tip-up chair having a cup holder, which is prevented from jumping up with an arm and spilling a drink in a cup placed therein even when a seated person stands up. SOLUTION: The tip-up chair having a cup holder provided on an arm comprises a seat 2 pivotably supported by stays 1 such that the seat can jump up, arms 5 connected to the seat so that the arms jump up as the seat jumps up, and a cup holder 9 attached to one of the arms. The folding chair further comprises a projecting member 10, which is supported by one of the arms 5 and connected to one of the stays 1 and which projects into the cup holder 9 as the arm jumps up but restricts the jumping of the arm when the projecting member is prevented from projecting.
