PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additional function providing system for a terminal with an electronic mail transmission/reception function adopting a constitution with excellent versatility and extendability that can provide additional functions with high convenience such as a temporary storage process and re-acquisition process of an electronic mail, and an automatic creating process of the electronic mail employing a template through simple operability to the terminal having the electronic mail transmission/reception function, in particular, a portable telephone terminal. SOLUTION: The terminal transmits an electronic mail including a prescribed instruction code to a server, an additional function providing means of the server receives the electronic mail, interprets the meaning and contents of the instruction code included in the electronic mail, and executes a prescribed processing corresponding to the instruction code.
