<p>A transmission apparatus capable of always monitoring a path selection direction by an optical switch and always monitoring normality of a wait system as a non-selection optical path. The transmission apparatus (500) selects one of the optical signal transmission paths by protection control and receives an optical signal. The transmission apparatus (500) includes optical signal output units (511, 512) for outputting optical signals propagating through the plurality of optical signal propagation paths as optical signals having different wavelengths, a wavelength selection optical switch (514) capable of selectively outputting light of wavelength corresponding to one of the optical signals from the optical signal output units (511, 512) according to the frequency of the control frequency signal, and an optical switch control unit (513) for supplying the control frequency signal to the wavelength selection optical switch (514) so as to output an optical signal from the optical signal propagation path selected by the protection control among the optical signals from the optical signal output units (511, 512).</p> |
